Meet Dr. Mitch Seubert

As a profession, dentistry gives me both the opportunity to challenge myself clinically and to forge lasting relationships with people in my community. It is unlike any other medical field, due to the direct, regular interaction with patients and the dexterity and creativity needed to achieve the best results. I love the anatomy, science, and technology, as well as the aesthetic and human aspects of being a dentist.

I respect that every patient is different, and love that every procedure is unique and must be tailored to each person. I thrive on that diversity — on constantly having to think of new approaches — and am always striving to deliver even stronger, healthier smiles!

I come from a family with a long line of dentists and dental hygienists. Dr. Jan Seubert is my father and Cindy is my mother. I am truly blessed to be working alongside them and with our team members, to serve our community and help people lead healthier, happier lives.

I grew up here in Portage, went off to college and dental school, and have returned to care for the people who helped me grow into the person I am today!

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, science, and environment – University of Minnesota
  • Doctorate of Dental Surgery – Marquette University

Marquette focuses on patient interaction and treatment planning. As a dentist, I focus on keeping each patient comfortable and making sure he or she understands why and what treatment is needed.

Dentistry is constantly evolving, and I work hard to stay current on new materials, technology, and methodology. I really enjoy learning new things and am excited to take a range of continuing education courses. Our patients deserve dental care that delivers incredible results and to have a treatment experience that’s efficient and comfortable.

In the Community

I have a strong desire to give back and support a community I care deeply about. For several years I have participated in a free Dental Day program for the Portage Head Start students. I also participate in the Give Kids a Smile Day and the Wisconsin Dental Association’s Mission of Mercy. Additionally, I’m on-call for the Columbia County Seal-a-Smile Program for students with urgent dental needs.

Beyond the Practice

I am glad to have returned to Portage with my wife Hannah (Hinze), who also grew up here. We were Portage High School sweethearts and she’s now a registered dental hygienist. We recently bought a home here and are excited to raise our daughter, Harlow, in this great community. Our second child is due to join us in February 2018!

When I’m not at work, you’ll most often find me with my family: my world revolves around them. I also enjoy working on our home, Crossfit, hiking, running, and making the most of outdoor activities with our Goldendoodle, Lyell.
